Like uhi nepali said, no need to worry about it. As far as my knowledge, the staff of the airlines was supposed to take the I94 before you boarded the flight but sometimes they might forget or don't know what they were doing. The immigration officer is going to give you new I94 next time when you come back anyways, so no need to worry about it. But hold onto it just in case they ask something.
