oh_gathey, your router at workplace is not screwed up :D
don't blame to router, now-a-days latest router are compatible with old/new wifi devices.
I've one question for you, have you checked your IP setting in your iphone?? I doubt it's set there as static. Since you said, it's working at your home wifi but not at work :D
Sorry for my lamest post before, you don't know me but I hate apple products. That should fix the problem.
btw, have you heard about Samsung Galaxy Note. It beats iphone 4S in every comparison :D
