Dipika's story is almost as similar as mine.

1. Back in 2009, I had written a story about an immigrant's predicament in Boston and posted it in facebook. Considering an uncouth and brutally honest person that I am, I drive people up the wall with my wisecracks and rebukes and no one ever reads or comments on my stories anyway. However, that particular story was very well written unlike my other ones.

2. A week later my wife tells me that my cousin's wife in New York has written a very good story and posted it in her facebook account. Curiosity galore, i tried to access that story but could not find it. So next evening I asked my wife to show that story from her facebook account. To my horror, it was MY story (I am such a disgusting person that no one cares to read my gibberish, not even my wife). I was mum, didn't tell anyone anything. My cousin's wife did a great job by HIDING that story from me. That privacy setting is hideous.

3. She had reaped almost 80 comments, those included comments from my wife and my mother as well. Also, there were more than 100 'likes'. For a person who struggles spelling 'pretty' and 'loser' (you know what I am talking about) and validates her English writing prowess by 'OMG', 'LOL', 'LMAO', 'So cute', 'nice pic', 'cool' and 'hot'; no one, for once, questioned her ability to write a story that long (I am being stereotypical here perhaps, but what the heck, it was my story).

4. While I was upset, I was also happy that people actually did like my stories. I wrote few more, and in a matter of time, all of them were posted in her facebook. It was THEN, my brother wrote to me (and her) claiming that story was MINE. Thank god, they have time stamps. Since then, she has blocked me, my brother and my wife and now my mom too.
