How true are these facts about Mount Everest?
- Exactly half of it is in Tibet. "The international boundary runs across the precise summit point"
- People went to the summit through Nepal because the Chinese border was closed to the western world in the 50's
- The permit to enter the Everest area from the south via Nepal costs $10,000 to $25,000 per person, depending on the size of the team. That's a lot of money! 4000 climbers every year, mostly foreigners.
