Based on his experience of handling hundreds of Asylum cases, Attorney Jeffrey O’Brien will be in Dallas to hold a Seminar at NST Center. What is Asylum, who are eligible, where and when should one file for it and so many others answers to the questions will be brought by Mr. O'brien and his team. What is Asylum?

Asylum is for those unwilling or unable to return to Nepal because of fear or past persecution, commonly due to political reasons.  If you are granted asylum, your wife and children below 21 years may be able to join you or stay in the United States, and eventually get a green card after 1 year from the date of asylum granted.

 

Asylum Law Seminar—the legal requirements for being granted asylum in the U.S.

The focus of the seminar will be an overview of the US legal requirements for asylum. Topics discussed will be:

1) Qualification requirements,

2) Filing deadlines,

3) When to apply,

4) What documents are needed to prove a case,

5) How long does the process take,

6) What to expect at the asylum office,

7) What to expect if the case is sent to immigration court,

8) Where to apply,

9) The role of an attorney,

10) Can family members also apply?

 

The seminar will be conducted in English and Nepali language. It will last approximately 2 hours. There won’t be any entrance fee collected as it is going to be free of charge.

अमेरिका मा राजनीतिक शरण त्यस्ता ब्यक्ति हरु लाई दिईन्छ जो राजनीतिक आस्था को कारण ले आफ्नै जन्म देश मा राजनीतिक पीडित भइ आफ्नो देस फर्कन नचाहने ब्यक्ति जो र हाल अमेरिका मा बसोबास गरी रहेका छन भने ति ब्यक्ती हरु लाई अमेरिका को सरकार ले राजनीतिक शरण दिएपछी उनी हरु ले आफ्नो परिवा  र २१ बर्ष मुनी का छोरा छोरी लाई अमेरिका मा कनुनी तबर ले जिकाइ सगै बस्न पाउने तथा शरण दिएको दिनबाट १ बर्ष पछी अमेरिका को स्थाही भिसा (ग्रिन कार्ड)को लागि आबेदन दिन पाउनेछन।
