I live in Dallas area and as per my experience, heres my take on Nepalese restaurants:

Temptation:

A place to go when there is a party. Food is okay and price is okay. Lunch buffet is average.

Himalayan Aroma:
Food is nasty. price is  comparable with other restaurants in the area. Per my personal experience, stay away from this place becasue the food will make you sick. I gave this restaurant several tries, hoping they would improve but i was hoping against hope. I had similar experiences like the user above. I too was served stale reheated momos and when I confronted, they acted very unethically and I simply stopped taking my business there.

Laligurans:
Food is mediocre and price is high. Only very few people know about this restaurant but it is good for group gathering and getting together with friends- meaning less of a family setting.

Hot N Spicy:
Food has absolutely no taste, very bland. Probably the cheapest desi restaurant in Irving area. People flocked here when their price was 2.99 for a plate of dumplings and when complimentary item was given when the total order exceeded $9. Since the lower priced dumplings and the $9 offer are discontinued; their customers started going to Everest as Everest was giving out bigger portions and $3.99 dumplings.

Everest:
The newest of all these restaurants started making a name for itself on bigger portions, authentic delicacies from Nepal and  the crowd favorite 3.99 dumplings. After a year of successful operation, the owners got greedy and drastically reduced the portion of food for takeouts. They also increased the price of momos to 4.99 and the taste of food has gone south. Their momo achar for take out is pitiful - 2 oz of sauce container filled half way for 10 momos. No nepali can satisfy their craving on half filled 2 oz momo achar. There is a rumour recently that the chef of Everest has left for Tempation; and Everest even rebutted the claim on its facebook page.Their price for other menu items are very expensive and people have started avoiding this place since the price increase, portion reducation and plain taste. I would avoid this place until they go back to their original price and be generous with portions- especially momo achar.I guess the management learned nothing from Netflix and Bank of America's practices.

I really feel that all of these restaurants are charging too much compared to portion and quality of service. I very seldomly go to these restaurants now becasue of their unenthical and irresponsible attitude. They need to understand the power of consumers in this consumer oriented country and understand the fact that consumers have the power to bring any business down.

On a diffrent note, here what the recent city inspection says about these places:
