The future of my Mother Nepal

I don't think we can talk about the future of Nepal without talking about educating the children. The children are the future of Nepal. So how do we train children who can not only survive Nepal in a healthy way but can eventually contribute to a healthy Nepal as well?
I felt these three threads explored the subject of raising healthy children:

Think Tank for Nepal:

The Role of Mom's and Wives in Nepali Families:

And one last thread that I wanted to refer to was the one on the importance of Pessimism of parents while educating children. This was one of Saani's beautiful writings. If anyone can find it, please post it in this thread.

Honestly speaking, I felt that 'Think Tank for Nepal' brought up a lot of really good points. But I felt it was a little too idealistic and naive. Our children cannot be too sojho and ideastic and goody-goody to the point that they can't survive the harsh realities of the 21st centuries. Especially the unique challenges of growing up in a third-world country.

In that sense, I felt that Saani's article on Pessimism of parents while raising their children in Nepal, was fabulous (wish I could find that sajha thread).

But yes, you cannot talk about the future of Nepal without talking about what it means to educate the children. And yes, having a strong and healthy culture is essential in raising healthy children. No family exists in a vacuum.
