 @Rashika Kanchi,

First of, it is quite pitiful to think it is a "Slap" to anyone - it is NOT. And even if it was, it would be to the entire Nepalese population, not to the Nepalese men alone. It was a senator showing off his arrogance and power to show off his threats to cut off the aids. His arrogance and idiocy is certainly not a slap to anyone but merely a display of his very character. While it is a fact that Nepal should be at least a little more humane while handling the Tibetan refugee crisis. Our leaders should take a stand against China to handle this critical issue in a proper and humanitarian manner while not disrupting the diplomatic relations with China - any one smart and bold enough in the radar? Let's hope for the best and see if BRB's government can achieve this.

Second, like someone mentioned above, Nepal's record of male dominace, currently, is a whole lot better than many countries, many of which are so called 'develop countries' and including India. Yes, of course there is a prevelance of male dominace rooted in some parts of the country, but that thought is changing rapidly over time with the younger generation - be it educated or not that educated. Honestly, it was surprising to me to see Ms. RK even talk about male dominace in Nepal in the language it is elaborated.

Finally, when someone points out a finger at the nation, it's is about national unity, not about national gender.
