Khan is more bold than any Nepalese would dare to be. He is not ashamed of his religion. He had no problem doing Nawaz in front of red neck Americans, after 9/11. Nepalese shake in their boots in front of White Americans. How many Nepalese could show their pride in their religion like Khan could? Why do we change so much to be accepted by these gores? What do these gores have that we don't? Money? Power? And for their money and power, if they are ashamed of our lifestyle or religion, we will keep changing it? Is that it? Are those the rules of the game? Is that what we need to do to keep fitting in? Is that what we need to do to get our daal-bhat on our dining table?

Admitted, that this was a movie. A damn good movie. But, outside of the movie set, there are plenty of Muslims that show the level of pride that Khan shows in America. They are fearless, even in light of September 11. And us Nepali Hindus? Without having something like September 11 over our head, hanging like a dark cloud, we shake in our boots. Why are we so scared?

What is the worst thing that could happen to us in America?
