I know this thread is about famouse Nepalese in the United States.

But in the world stage, I think there is a third category also. There are Nepalese who became famous among Nepalese because they made it big in India also. You don't have to make it big on the world stage.

Examples: Manisha Koirala, Uddit Narayan Jha, Danny Danzongpa (spelling?)

Indian culture is a lot more sophisticated in music, art, literature, cinema, etc. not to speak of computer graphics, software and engineering. So if you can make it big amongst Indians, you will be famous amongst Nepalese.
