I couldn't believe my ears when I first heard about Nepali women working as prostitutes in Australia about a year ago. Then I heard some miserable stories of women being 'used' by Indians, Pakistanis and even Nepalese in London and I always wondered why Nepali women were so eager to leave the country. I mean, a buddy was telling me the story of this girl living in his neighborhood with some different Nepali dude. They weren't in a relationship but the guy was allowing her to stay with him for free in return for sex. Perhaps I'm being a bit sensitive but that simply disgusted me. 

And thanks to the latest story of Nepali students being returned, some allegedly caught working as prostitues, generalizations are likely to follow. Perhaps, one could find the rationale in their choice but I struggle in my own efford. Selling your body for money, that too, when there was absolutely no need to, especially considering how one could attend a majority of colleges in Nepal for less than 10k for entire four years.
