For someone who spells amateurs as 'ametures', Miranda has made a grand mockery of himself by trying to correct a certain Mr. Bolta's retaliatory post. This attitude of the 'cold-drink guy' (that looks and tastes as horrible), exemplifies the 'ignorance is bliss' mentality that I, for certain have seen only immature kids portray. Such nincompoops really need to get about doing some research before they end up shooting themselves on the foot. So, Mr. Appalling Cold Drink lets bring forth the discussion to the table. I too saw the Strings concert last summer and what I saw was phenomenal! I have been to ANA, ANMA, Tibetan conventions and Nepali parties all over the US and never have I seen or heard anything (besides 1974 and the league of other Nepali professional bands) that have measured up to them. Which other Nepali bands are you familiar with in the US, wise guy? Letýs compare and contrast what you've heard from others to what I have seen for myself. Let the members and the silent majority that frequent this site see how your fiction compares to my reality. On a personal note, the members of Strings have been friends of mine for a while now. Not allowing any form of preferential biasness that would allow any margin of error to my judgment, I written below what Iýve seen: For the past few weeks, they have been ýbustiný their asses trying to get this concert together.ý Their goal: ýTo bring about nostalgic memories for all those who attended rock concerts in Kathmandu/Delhi campuses in the 90ýs.ý Having been out of Ktm for nearly a decade now, all I have of those ýconcertý days are fond memories. And for Strings wanting to recreate such an atmosphere again, they would undoubtedly receive my staunch undivided support! ýýýýýýAugust 14th; Kasturi Club, Astoria, NY ........................Party On!
