Indian Prime Minister asked Late PM Krishna Prasad Bhattarai  while visiting India, "PM Bhattarai why does Nepal discriminate the madhesis and only have gurung, magar, limbu, thapa, etc in the national army...you MUST have a madhisey regiment  to make your country more democratic.."

To this, PM Krishna Prasad Bhattarai replied,
"the same reason you have Kumao regiment, Punjab Regiment, Gurkha Regiment, but NOT a Bihar regiment."
