I know diffferent people say different stuffs and ways to send money. What I would recommend is just do the simple way: go to moneygram or western union. They are big reputed international company and you will be in safe hands. You might get one rupee more on others and the awe about if the money will get your receiver. I am not trying to discourage anybody's bussiness but just an honest opinion.
