Nepal disqualified for AFC U-16 Football Championship
Nepal's hope to qualify for the AFC U-16 Football Group 'D' ended with the defeat against Oman 2-0 in a do-or-die encounter at the Dashrath Stadium on Wedensday. Nepal had lost to Syria 2-0 on Monday.
Oman's Hatim Sultan and Mubarak Khalif scored one goal each in the 76th and 87th minute to secure victory.
Similarly, in another match of the same day, Syria defeated Saudi Arabia 2-1 played at Halchowk ground.
Abdul Lateef scored an opening goal for Syria in the 4th minute while Abdul Aziz leveled the match in the 30th minute. Mohamad Alkhaled contributed a wining goal fro Syria in the 69thminute.
Earlier, Oman was defeated by Saudi Arabia 3-0 on Monday.
Despite the ending the qualifier journey, Nepal will play against Saudi Arabia on September 16. nepalnews.com
