Neural, Check this site for wide range of data sets: http://daac.gsfc.nasa.gov/ then go to data access for GES DAAC search and Order interface then go to Data Sets You will find wide variety of data sets including AVHRR, MODIS-AQUA, MODIS-Terra you can get surface temp from AVHRR data. anyway, make not of this site if you are in earth science/meterology area cheers!!
