In a bid to gain the support of the masses who were lied to during the so called 'People's War', Baburam Bhattarai is finally one step closer to fulfilling his promises of redistributing wealth. It has been revealed that Baburam Bhattarai's first call to order will be to re-affirm the communist policies which have been sidelined due to lack of support. Mr. Bhattarai is known to rule his party with an iron fist and this comes as no surprise that the Maoist government would try to nationalize people's assets in order to redistribute the wealth of the nation. As part if his nationalization campaign, he is supposed to make it illegal to own personal property, consequently all bank accounts are to be frozen.

Many industrialists had long seen it coming and they have been gradually moving their assets out of the country. Few breweries have been closed in additional to many hotels and other industries. Unconfirmed sources have said that few industrialists are planning to move to India, Hong Kong and few other neighboring countries while others are targetting the United States, England and Australia.

Political observers are split on how the process will be implemented. Others are wary because the Maoists still have a huge army in cantonments and they are ready to spring into action at their leaders' call. Observers note that this is the exact scenario that the Maoist have been waiting for. The future looks bleak for many hard working people who have toiled their sweat to make a living and a decent saving. While it may look depressing for a small portion of Nepali population, the general population who live in poverty levels will have something to look forward to.

The United States ambassador Mr. Scott H. DeLisi has congratulated Mr. Bhattarai but also has sent a stern message that proposing communist nationalization may not be good for the health of the nation. The Indian ambassador Mr. Jayanta Prasad has called a meeting with some unknown players in the Nepali politics. It is believed that ex-king Gyanendra is one of them. Yang Houlan, the Chinese ambassador has praised Mr. Bhattarai for his strong stance and has re-iterated Chinese support. for him.
