Bigrekoketo, first of all, I do not really believe that you are a बिग्रेको.  it sounds like you had some bitter experience with some of DV holders.  You ( + some others ) are generalizing all  the DV holders in the same way.  I don't think that is right.  I am sorry to hear that some DV holders may have hurt your feelings. Did the DV hurt your feelings or the person ? I bet; the attitude of the person hurt your feelings, not the DV.  So, let's not get upset with DV.  If you really need to be upset, be upset with the one who really hurt your feelings. Please do not generalize people. Attitude makes the difference, not the people.   There are already a thousands of Nepali DV holders in the US  and they are living across the country.    All  of them cannot hurt your feelings and you cannot have a bitter feeling towards all of them either.  If  you do, something is not right in you.

I am also one of the thousands of people who immigrated to US under the DV Program and I am from Kathmandu as well.   I know, many of you know that DV Program is open to anyone who is at least 18 years old with  completion of 12 years of education or more.  All DV holders are not  from village only, illiterate and stupid like some of the above commentators think.  That is nothing but an expression of ingorance.  The sellection of DV winner is 100% on the basis of random sellection.  In other words, it is a matter of luck.  It has nothing to do with your age, sex, education, how rich or poor you are or where you are from..... just a luck.  You can and anyone can tray a luck.  I tried for almost 10 years and I got it .  Give a try and have some patience if you want to instead of just being jealous. Jealousy burns only.

Peace
