Well...there are two kinds of nepalese, one who have lost all their sense of being and the other who is still sensible about their identity and national pride. You figure out for yourself where do you (want to) fall. One of my objective to post this in Sajha was to observe how much is young nepalese crowd sensitive about their roots and values. Most of the young nepalese people hang around here in sajha ,unfortunately, and it was an attempt to reach those young blood to see how much thought comes out for the nation, exemplifying a small instance of national humiliation by a restaurant. Not to my surprise, all I could receive is same crap about nepalese. I don't think there is any way or place where we can feel a sense of positive attitude among these young nepalese people. Our previous generation screwed up our country giving all the bad culture, attitude, and everything worse that can possibly be. Now we are here inheriting all those shit and accepting whatever is thrown at us. One difference between our previous generation nepalese and us is that we are more educated, more thoughtful and more sensible. Previous generation did not have enough vision to establish our nation and country as a strong unit with a respectable identity in the world. New generation, though more sensible than previous, still lacks motivation to take initiative and accepts any humiliation, any undermining situations believing that we are used to it. I can see a rapid disintegration of Nepal and Nepalese as a nation. It's upon our shoulder to stop from being a history. We are still strong enough to lift that, but we lack attitude and love for the nation. Things like the restaurant's name may seem fairly small a compromise, but cumulation of things like this increase our threshold of being a sluggish old moron nepalese. You choose what is right with your sense, I choose mine. Don't point at what others did and are doing. Look into yourself first.
