As kripya pointed out, someone with Masters degreee in mgmt should try SAP/FICO. If you put sincere effort and excell it- you will make really decent money - it pays good.

Most of us scare a lot un-necessarily.. and let this unknown 'fear of not suceeding' occupy 99% of our mind. And this does not work.  If  spending another 6 months of time learning a technology will puts your entire future to different level, then why dont you try? Most of us have worked 12-13 hours/day low paying job at student life.. I bet, if you study/learn any technology 12 hrs/day in the same way, you will master it in six months, no matter what is your prior knowledge.

Next, always go to your first job to 'get fired' - at least expect this at worst. You wont lose anything even if you get fired in 2 weeks- instead you will learn something- e.g. how the real work environment looks like. That experince will help you to crack interview next time. Getting fired is not a crime.. it wont damage your credit score.. you wont get ticket.. so why are you worried of getting fired in your first  job? Always consider your first job as an 'experiment'.. No big deal. right?

Getting high paying job in US, where there are people from around the world, needs somethig 'extra' in you, and that 'extra' in you should be 'I-wont-give-up' kind of mentality. You need to observe certain descipline to get that mentality .. e.g. get motivated, learn necessary soft skills, learn more techology, less facebook and youtube ;).. and make plan. Don't let uncessary fear drag you..

I know one indian at my work place, who openly admits with me that he was working in best buy as a sales man, before one desi consultant caught him and palced him in this job after six months of training.

just my 2cents..
