##Also from my g.f i found out that, AUS doesn't pay you as per the experience which means you will be getting highest $70K whereas even the restaurant worker can make $50K since the payrate is high. So there won't be much difference in income between restaurant worker and Computer programmer. Also to add in that, the living expenses is extremely high. My g.f said even a banana costs $10.99 per lb lol ##

from backwards

Normally banana cost between 99 cents per kilo to 2.99 /kilo depending where you buy , Its expensive now beause of the queensland floods few months ago which destroyed 90% of the crop. Its not like banana is  10 $ per kilo all the time.

yes income is almost same for professonal s and trade workers , in some case more like , chef, locksmith, electrician  or plumber make more than say IT worker  or hotel manager in Australia.

70k highest is not true, some of my nepalese friends are getting 100k +. But starting is around 70. In case if you dont know there is something called minimum wage in australia and indutry must pay accoring the minimum wage rules.I would say for starting salary for IT workers ( 3 years bachelor degree+ ablity to actually work, not just degree ) is arounf 55-60 k whereas cook( 1 year training + 2 year experience) will commmand the same wage.

Australia is 13th largest economy and like US and UK its an advance economy.so  experience counts  and your pay depends on your experience.
