Fund for landslide prevention allotted to landslide free area

An amount of Rs. 751,000 earmarked for the prevention of landslide under the Local Governance and Community Development Programme (LGCDP) in Khalanga district has been allocated for the no-landslide area, reports state-owned news agency RSS.

Locals of landslide-affected zone have expressed concern after knowing that the fund was appropriated for Shreekot, which they said is not landslide prone.

According to the report, the areas mostly affected from the landslip are Gokuleswor, Malladehi and Kataujapani of Baitadi.
