@ Gajabchaba: Pardon me but I can hardly follow your convoluted logic. Maybe that is also because I am not nationalistic enough to understand your sound logic.

@ BathroomCoffee: Just shouting a sentence along at the top of your voice does not make it true. As I have mentioned above, hindi as a expression of art is not a big deal to me but when it is being used as something that is inseperable of who we are and a daily ritual, then it begins to bother me a lot. Catch_meh_if_u_can has most of the things right about why this is occuring but one thing that we have been good at is keep the level of Indian popularity in Nepal relatively low among general population and Indian has not been able to get a good return on its investments. Either way, I think you seem to underestimate the level of gravity this issue deserves.
 

Also, someone said that watching CN won't change who we are at the core. Go tell that to 5-6 year old kid in Nepal who grows up watching hindi cartoons in Nepal. I acknowledge that I might get a lot of flack for this, but if I were to be a hardliner I'd argue that we are in an initial process of cultural genocide!
