I agree with Pire. Some people are deliberately trying to normalize the accussation against the political leadership (especially against the Finance Minister) by portraying Khanal as a bad guy too. I believe that if you rank all the high level civil servant with respect to their integrity and financial discipline, he would be among top 1%.
About the Weakleaks scandal, I dont see his wrong doingdoing in NAC Boeing/Airbus deal except that he talked with the US mission chief about the committee's findings 10 days before that was made public. And, that information should not have helped the US/Boeing in any respect.
Only very few people would resign from the post of Finance Secretary. That is one of the most covetous postions that the civil servants aspire to be in, even if there is chances of '0' rupees of extra money.
