While watching his cremation, I remembered a poem from Munamadan:
"कसरी खायो आगोले दिदी कमलको शरीर "

After 2046 Jana Andolan there was a famous survey about the popularity of our leaders. Bhattarai ranked way ahead of others by getting almost 55% of popular choice, Madan Bhandari was second with 17% and Ganesh Man Singh was third with 15%. Others were way low. He was very popular when he was PM. It was a surprise that he lost election in Baneshwar.
We may agree or disagree with him and his thoughts. He was, however, a very nationalist man. He had black teeth, but he smiled very charmingly. No one ever accused him of being corrupt, not even his opponents.
Our leaders should learn from his lifestyle and his nationalist view. He was a very soft man, and I always loved him. He will always be well remembered by people like us who took part in JanaAndolan I in some capacity.
