Hi,
I am an avid fan of foreign film.

Foreign movies are excellent sources of getting know the culture abroad. They also reveal the various emerging art form around the

world. Among various director my favourite is Micheal Haneke
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0359734/  for his open ended andmysteriously shocking moves in the story. You'll love him.

For light romance, Pedro Almodovar, who works most of the time with Penelope Cruz
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000264/ .

Also Abbas Kiarostami's simplicity in direction is worth watching
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0452102/ . This are the director's who I love the most.

Among others Wong Kar Wai
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0939182/ , director from hongkong has few gems for us.

Mexican director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu is equally awesome
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0327944/ .

I love this guys movies.

There is another russian short movie I watched Zuperman
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPExCW6Y8Sg this was simple and beautiful.

Recently, I watched a very sadistic movie in film history which is banned in several countries for nudity and violence. Placed in Facist Italy. Salo or 120 days of Sodom by  Pier Paolo Pasolini. Hope you research http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sal%C3%B2,_or_the_120_Days_of_Sodom
before you watch this. Available in stagevu.com with subtitle. I don't recommend it to all of you.

Keep watching..
