I think this whole discussion is misled. The point to make is whether all this lavish expenditure is justified when millions are hungry in India. The real point is priority that we assign to limited resources that planet earth has. Wouldn't that money be better spent on some schools or hospital in rural Inida. This objection is not just limited to this case but to all such pompous celebrations.
