When I was in college, I bacame friend to an Indian named Tej. He always called himself TJ.My name is Deep, which he changed to DP. I didn't like DP, but he called me in his own unique way..in his pure Indian accent.....Dippi Bhaiya. And later, I got addicted to Dr. Pepper. So I thought DP would be short form for Dr. Pepper and it would also remind me of my old friend Tej (TJ) who is out of touch for long time. There you go......
