Please do not be off topic. The discussion here is about Hindus eating beef; not about whether it is allowed to sacrifice in Hinduism. Hinduism is very vast it takes a lifetime of extensive devotion and learning to understand everything. I am, by no means, an expert in this matter but can say for sure that slaughtering and consumption of a cow is not permissible under any circumstances in Hinduism. There are many different sects and sub categories in Hinduism; some are vegans and vegetarians while others indulge in meat consumption. So, even in Hinduism there are people that are against killing and sacrifice and I can understand your point. Personally I follow Hinduism to the best of my knowledge and what I was taught in my upbringing. I do believe in god and follow what I have been taught by the society. To believe or not believe is something of a personal choice and looks like that you do not believe in those sacrifices. Good for you, but are you sure than you have not sent khasi to your loved ones from muncha or other online site?? I hope you are a vegetarian because whether its sacrifice or for consumption, killing is killing nonetheless.
I have to agree with you that Hinduism is not perfect, and nor are any other religions. Nope I am not scared to admit it but the belief that was instilled in me is rock solid and can’t be shaken. I do believe in karma as well as dharma. Do you believe in Karma though? I am sure you do. So, what will be the outcome of someone claiming themselves Hindu worshipping cow and then indulging in beef-laden products??? If I have done anything wrong in the eyes of God, I will pay for it.
You can call my belief “blind” but yours is by no means perfect.
I don’t have a problem with people eating beef but they should not proudly claim themselves Hindus. When the very fundamental of Hinduism is broken, what good of a Hindu are you and on what grounds you claim yourself a Hindu? Just tell people that you are not a Hindu. Kina teti garo hindu haina bhanna??? Why is it so hard for you to let go of something that you do not believe in? Why do you cling on to it when you have so much doubt, disbelief and suspicion? Mookh ma ram ram bagali ma chura….j khana maan lagchha khau….gai, hatti, ghoda…adventurous pani bana…..american pani bana…..afno maan le magyo ani khaye bhana tara aru option kehi thiyena ani khako bhanera swang chhai napara. Furti chha bhane bau amma ko agadi pani khana saknu paryo…… have seen a lot of those people whose family back home are unaware of their eating habit and when the parents visit them here, they act very innocent. Please don’t spread the wrong message that it is okay to consume beef being a Hindu. Tell them that it’s your personal choice. Have seen a lot of people saying “its okay in Hinduism to eat beef”.
