Subject: Immigration Issues about students returning from Nepal-

For those of you student who are returning from Nepal has to face immigration questions in the port of entry to USA. It is suggested to answer the questions related work during their stay in USA, AFTER TALKING TO THEIR ATTORNEY only, if you had worked using SS#. If you answered as "No, I didn't work, they will check using your SS#, and ultimately will make return you back to your home country. Recently 2 students send back to Nepal from Chicago airport. Moreover, it may be good idea not to go back home until you got H1 visa, if you had worked using your SS# in USA.

my quesiton is, if i had worked in ssn while i was in F1 status, now i am in h1 and plan to travel in nepal and get my new US entry visa stamped..., will they still ask me if i had worked in SS# and stop me in point of entry?

It is suggested not to travel until I get my H-1b? Is H1-b completely different than F1 in a sense, they wont check my f1 records? If they ask, what should i say since i am in H-1b now, and I only worked for a company which sponsored me.

Thanks for help.
