i am not an expert in this matter, tara may be u can say  something like "u were completely broke and ur guardian were not able to send u money because of whatever reason.... and to pay rent or insurance u needed money...thats when u started working, since u didnot want to work illegally ,u used ssn,and paid tax.. "
