We gotta support what we started. But I think we rushed into this thing too early.

We don’t have a government, a PM nor an established constitution. Load shading has peaked back to over 11 hrs a day, lawlessness is rampant. As such what do we have to offer to the tourists who will see the true Nepal, beyond those paintings and photographs. At the end of the day, while we will definitely see a surge in tourism, it might do more harm in the long run. US has issued a travel warning for its citizen to visit Nepal and while this alone shouldn’t change our decision on when to held the tourism year, we also don’t have any reason to do it now.

We could have waited few years. We still won’t be sure if constitution would be drafted by then, but at least we’d have some hope. It appears that the government caved in to the travel industry demand too soon, the industry with short vision.
