There is no risk for visa stamping in Nepal for h1b right now. I have seen many of my friends have stamped recently at least more than five in few month and I have just stampped few weeks back too.

No matter you are consultant or full time but make sure you have all the documents, your tax returns, at least recent few paystubs, letter from company, your maanger, if you are consultant letter from your manager is not necessary because you are employed by your consultning company not your client but if you can get it its a plus I would say.

What else, your F1 original i 20s plus all the i20s you have had before, your  h1b approval document. For proff of the client you are workiing you can print out few emails or some work related stuff if you are too consious about that.

Now a days they put you pending for few days because they will electornically verify your informaiton from the system and according to them that takes 3-5 days but it may take more may be upto a week so prepare for this apply as soon as you are in Nepal so you wont have problem later.

H1b stamping is not like F1 interview process that they will ask you tricky questions, they will ask you some simple questions like, hows your school? hows your work? whats your roles? how do you enjoy working? where do you live or do for fun? married or single I mean very simple informaiton personal question so dont get scared about that.

Last but not least make sure to get stamped from shram mantrala after you get your visa stamped otherwise they wont let you leave from aiport.  Its situated in somewhere in koteshwor or something near by that place right next to that river in very crappy place sorry I am not from ktm so dont know which place exactly... but make sure to have that believe me you dont want to go through all the troubles in the airport later on.

Dont go through india if you are going to have long transit hours because they wont give you boarding pass before few hours of flight time and you will get stuck in some small place where there is nothing other than rest room. but if you have few transit hours thats perfectly fine, they have awesome aiprot specially Indira Gandhi airport its 10 times better than US ariports and they wont give you any trouble other than checking few extra times thats completely acceptable as they care about your saftey.

FYI you can set up your interview date by filling out the form from here if you have short vacation.

anything else? you should be good to go now...
