Former Crown Prince Paras Shah opens fire at Sujata Koirala's son-in-law

Interesting thoughts, could I chip in my few cents too? And could we please do without profanity (I doubt that, but what do I lose in making at least one request)?

-      I resent Sujata Koirala equally for her questionable leadership, haughtiness, shortsightedness, avarice for power and corruption. However, just because someone is related to her doesn’t make him/her a convict by default.

-      If Sujata’s son-in-law was an American, would we have created such uproar? We have our own history of racism. Brahmins hate Gurungs, Newars hate Brahmins, Chettris hate both and we all hate Indians and Pakistanis and Bangladeshis and Srilankans (our south asian neighbors). But we find Chinese people cool and Brazilians and Americans. Face this; we are racists only when it comes to people our neighbors and a little beyond. Couldn’t Rubel be a victim of that mindset? Whatever happened to that US embassy ex pat who almost killed a jaywalker? Few posts in sajha and we all forgot about that incident just like we forgot how Praveen gurung was killed.

-      Paras an instant messiah? Are you kidding me? Agreed, he fired at Rubel and many rejoiced simply because he was Sujata’s son-in-law. Agreed, we all are tired of this buckling democracy and corrupt leaders, but considering Paras as a savior is equally detrimental. He shot a Bangladeshi today, but don’t you think he is equally capable of raping your girlfriend and sodomizing you tomorrow?

-      We are morons, we are Alzheimer ridden sick bastards. We forgive easily, and as fools we see silver lining a little too soon. Our every pie is in the sky, and we whistle dixie all our life. We made one mistake in the past, by NOT BELIEVING PARAS during royal massacre, and we are making another mistake again, by believing him this time. A Bangladeshi national accosting Paras (someone with a volatile history) and speaking ill of his family???? I do not buy this. It is just like me and you suddenly wining a ten million dollar lottery and arguing with Mike Tyson (or even Ray Lewis for some football fans) for that matter. I wouldn’t argue with Paras, and none of us would, cos we all know what he has done and can do. Therefore Rubel vilifying Paras simply doesn’t fly.

-      Our judgement lack credibility, we mistake patriotism with hatred and racism. Our emotions get the best of us all the time. We accuse Pampha Devi only to exonerate her later, similarly, we criticize Paras for murdering Praveen Gurung only to eulogize him on this incident.

-      Shooting at someone during an argument? Is that a fair deal no matter how severe it is? What would you call me if I suddenly go and shoot Nas in his apartment (lol, Nas bro please do not take it personally, couldn’t find a better example) just because his posts in sajha are controversial? Considering Rubel DID initiate an argument, couldn’t Paras land some haymakers on his dark-brown Bangladeshi a$$? Resorting to gun is so kindergarten.

-      I believe Paras got inebriated, suddenly realized that the reason he lost power was someone who’s son was dining in the same restaurant. His ‘ex would-have-been’ crown prince ego got the best of him, and as expected, he approaches Rubel, picks on him, and fires some shot to scare the crap out of him. What is wrong with this story? If you could believe some lousy a$$ wipe as Paras, why wouldn’t you believe me?

My few pennies, but I know it would never make sense to naysayers who already considered Paras as their HERO.
