Police have arrested two alleged looters on the charge of stealing valuables and cash from various financial institutions.
A team deployed by the Metropolitan Police Crime Division held
Anil Mahaju, 33, and Santosh Mahaju, 23, and recovered three
laptops that were stolen from Global Bank, Megha Bank and Prabhu Finance. Police said the modus operandi adopted by the alleged looters, who are said to be gays and former drug addicts, was that they would visit financial institutions on the pretext of meeting employees and decamp with laptops and other valuables whenever possible.
