Shantipriya, you're comparing someone who is still in studies to people with grey hair, and arguing that he has not done anything for the country so far. The last paragraph of the original posting contains a few things that I consider quite substantial for someone to be in school right now.
The fact that a Nepali is the President of an association that comprises of all the graduate schools of Harvard is quite an achievement considering that most of the people from there are going to be the top-rated people in their fields in the future.
More than a matter of being proud - this was an inspiration for me. I have always felt incapable of representing a student body at my school that I find has always been more privileged than I have ever been, but this showed me how I can use this to my advantage.
