Deepak Maharjan will at least secure a bronze medal as he won quarterfinal bout against Thailand's Sukkhum Kriangkai 4-0 in the Asian Games being held in China Friday. This will be the first medal for Nepal in the tournament.

Maharjan was competing in Men's 81 kg bout in Foshan Gymnasium.

Semifinalists secure bronze medal in Boxing category.

Dinesh Kumar of India, Fanlong Meng of China and Ehsan Rouzbahani also entered the semifinals in the 81 kg bouts.
