OK. Let me give you guys another perspective.

I agree Panchayat era had much better security situation in Nepal than what we got today. I also know that it was a better system for rulers than the general population. I hear from my dad and other elders all the time, Rana regime was much better than Panchayat. Back then, justice prevailed and every harke and birke could not use "source-force" like Panchayat era. Then, I am sure Malla Kal was probably much better than after invasion by Prithvi, the great. I say this by observing the relative progress - both culural and economic made during the golden period of Nepali history. It may have been even better during Lichabi. Rember those great Kings Mandev and Anshubarma's great deeds from grade school history. And then comes Gopal Banshi. Imagine a country with no violence - that's what I would expect in the kingdom of cattle farmers. Then comes Manjushri who chopped off some hilltop to drain the great lake Kathmandu used to be. Before that it was a beautiful lake. The most peaceful ever. Wow... maybe we should go back to that. Would be great for fishing I tell you all...

The point I am trying to make is... Let's look forward and bring in fresh ideas... Let's not drive only using your side mirrors... Please say now to Shree 5 Thugs in 21st century...
