In my opinion, going back to monarchy won't do anything, but a chance of having even a greater and deeper civil war within the country, a country that has already faced a decade of war, and is in the transition of peace is still quite vulnerable to go back to a state of war. The panchayat era is the time when the people haven't had easy access to arms and ammunitions, the situation is completely different now. So I think u can't compare with the political situation now and then. My generalization of this situation is democracy is the power to the people but really have the people of Nepal had the power. First of all did the people of Nepal really know what their political power are? Nepalese should know who to be their representatives, and examine their representative's social and political credentials before they sent them to the house, but that process has never been applied. Nepalese people are more into the fake ideologies of the political parties, so they sent those people into the house which resemble their ideology not the person's social and political credentials. My statement is sent the right person to the house, then democracy would be fruitful.
