huh... i dont know if i should be smiling at you guys ignorance or be sad about it. i do have a smile on my face, so i guess i will just laugh it off.

furke daju ra nepal premi daju lai... huna ta ma nepal bhasa bolne newar nai ho.. tara yahan jaat bhaat ko kuro kasari aayo bhanera chahin ma ajhai sochdai chhu.
I am from Dallas, and the tone of your voice along with your mental reasoning makes me want to actually talk to you guys! If you are also from Dallas area, please let me pay for your admission, in return I would just ask to have a rather reasonable discussion the same time with some "Aila". What say? :p

When you termed all Newars "Jyapu", which from your post above echoed your intentions of making it a demeaning term, made an impression about you. I think you are already aware that all Newars are not 'Jyapu', and yet you choose to use it, shines a lot about your thinking and expressing pattern. I am not a Jyapu, but my friends in school used to call me by that name, and they still do when I talk to them on the phone. I would not have been compelled to write this post, had your posts shown the same love behind the name, but then my friends have something in their head they can think with, I guess.

Come down to this being a racist event!! wtf! I am in no way linked to this event, save that I will go have some food I love. Oh wait, didnt you say you loved the food too. So, why cannot it be as simple as that? Do you think there will be Newari missionaries out there handing out Newari bibles to you?
I am proud that they are saving our culture, our food. And when I say our, I enjoyed the Lhosar party too! Or, may be I could not see the conspiracy there to divide our nation. Damn! I should not have enjoyed that party..

And my offer stands firm, I will pay for both of you guys if you want to be there. But as the saying goes, there is no such thing as a free Newari Bhoj, I do ask you guys to sit with us: me and my Newar and non-Newar friends (more non-Newars, btw...and I will introduce you to them too).

I am not sure if you will tag the following line as being racist, castist or whatever, but I assure you, if you think it over just once, setting aside your baseless judgments, you will get my intentions:

Proud to be a Newar, Proud to be a Nepali. I will try to save my culture and help you save yours. If you just play your part and do the same, hopefully, our children will get to taste the richness of our culture too.

And still the smile remains.
