My comparison was based on the conversation that happens there... It has become a place to vent and disagree on stuff, crack silly jokes, have random links...its just a mess IMO
I agree HN is for different purpose. And I touched on it before. I like that after starting to follow HN, my google reader feed is almost non-existent. But again you are right its a different community.
