Trance music is wicked

syd_acid, I couldn't agree with you more.

At this point in my life, I look at the various genres of music I've phased through and it's a fairly good number. It wasn't until you mentioned it that I realized that music has been with me through these phases  of my life and every time I go back to a genre, it brings back old memories. I remember listening to mostly pop music as a teenager, moved on to pop and alternative rock as I grew older.

Sick of the same artists and their commercialized lyrics,  started exploring independent artists hoping to find more meaningful diction and compositions.

Moved on to classical compositions by Chopin, Beethoven and Broadway stuff like Rent etc.

Not that I hadn't listened to trance before, but it wasn't until I was at a trance/house/D&B lounge that I really wanted to dig deeper into the genre.

About 80% of my typical day is partially or completely filled with music, don't know what I would do without it. One doesn't have to know how to compose music to appreciate it, I don't want to learn how to compose music but I def want to explore the realms of it.

To add to your opinion about people who are content with being musically consistent, I think it's just the difference in the level of appreciation they have for music in general. I can't imagine listening to the same genre of music, even if it were to be the best thing on earth since sliced bread.
