I think the lady needs help more than your friend.
She may had bad sex experiences or had to face bad sexual encounters, she was not ready and but participated unwillingly, or the labor was unbearable and she thinks she has go through it again. I mean some negative psychology may have developed.

I think it is your own story, try to remember the first sexual night, analyse it and try to find out anything did not go right direction. Where were you during the birth? Think as a psychologist you may get answer. You missed 2 years and you tried to jump right away ( I would have done the same).
