Being realistic, I don't think anyone reading your appeal would be willing to co-sign a loan with a guarantee of your merits and background. I don't question the validity of your facts, but the matter is of trust. 
So here is my suggestion (another option), try visiting churches and social organizations around your area. At times if you are lucky, may be your can find a generous donor or may be someone willing to co-sign your loan. Sometimes they do have funds allocated to help in such situation. A friend of mine had their loan co-signed by their host parents. When I struggled financially, after all attempts I directly made an appointment with the vice chancellor of my college (it's a pretty big college with 10,000+ students) and bugged him for financial assistance. It worked. I was able to get an additional $2000 on student scholarship...
