I completed my undergraduate studies this May and I am currently doing an internship. I plan to go to grad school in fall 2011. Once I get accepted for grad school and receive my I-20, i am thinking about going to Nepal for a couple of weeks and applying at the US consulate to extend my visa for another 5 years. How hard can it be to get this done provided that I get into a good school? Has anybody had experience with this? Also, my current visa is good till December 2011 and I'm planning to go to Nepal in April/May of 2011. Will I have any problem returning to the US with my current visa even if my visa extension application is rejected?
