I disagree with grgDai: If your parents have lot of money that is for you as the ownership passes. Now it is you what you want to do with it? No matter what you want to do investment in education ( knowledge) is the best and if you do not acquire it on time you will not get it in your life time.
Most of us we do not do our homework, before I headed to USA I did not do my homework too.
But stay positive and hang on there we will succeed.
Did you read one of my comment " न मरी स्वर्ग देखिदैन". One of my cousin wanted to overstay during his IEEE conference visit. He was terribly mad with me and still mad. He would not understand the consequence after overstay unless he has been through it. Now he got PH.D. form one one the university of Canada. Could he able to do it if he had overstayed in US? So, we do not do our homework and nor we appreciate others' APPROPRIATE DECISION. Bottom line is "" न मरी स्वर्ग देखिदैन"
You would not be able to understand it unless you face it.
