I think it is much easier to get CPA than CA from India as you are going to college in USA. As you know the test are computer based and you have time limit to pass all four. You can take one at a time or what ever you want. Once you joint OPT in an audit form it will make you easier for Audit exam, in Audit exam,  question needed practical experience than memorizing the processes and it will be a plus point for you.
