sadman77, most Nepali people know about these crooks. so in a way, i am sorry to say but your effort to educate Nepali people about these crooks is useless  fundamentally. The people who you are calling victims were the ones who reached these crooks. they beg them to take money and make them greencards. again, people go to these crooks, these crooks don't advertise on newspapers. so they are in fault too. people are desperate. and you know what , most people who come to usa and can spend 28k or more are not poor, even if they go back to Nepal, but people like to go there with their green cards or citizenship and boast about their wealth to other people, their relatives, friends etc... when they get green cards they do the same things to other Nepali people. this is a thrid world mentality which will not go away so easily.

the way i see it , there are three parties who are part of this fraud..

1) the so called victims, who went to these crooks to cheat the US immigration system. no matter how desperate you are a crime is a crime. you can be starving to death but if you kill someone then you are a murderer. and these victims are victims of course, but primarly of their greed and then Shrestha and co.

2) US immigration sytem: the green card frauds are rampant. it's not just in Nepali communities but in chinese, indian, almost all international communities. people with papers are using people without papers as slaves. and what have been done to rectify these, nothing. if authorities were really cracking down on these modern slave owners then there would be no Shyam,Narayan,Shati and others in this great country.

3) frauds like Shyam and Shanti..

sadly, Sir, i have to tell you this. if you don't have a pleanty of time with the heart like size of colorado, don't get involved into this. this keeps going, there is no end of this slave-slavery,greencard, greed, saga.. everyone's guilty and no one is innocent, some get used some use them.. i spent a lot of time trying to understand this b.s and the more i dig into it the more sadder i became..
