Correction
"living in lie" works perfectly fine in Nepal, nobody gets caught, never. Had he done those same thing in Nepal, he would been a very successful, powerful and even a "dignified" person by our standard.
He was smart, very smart, but dumb at the same time not to realize that things will fall apart sometime in the US. Eventually the US government will get you, even if you're a bed ridden old man, about to die.
