Despite tax implications and so forth, it is still great that the man got recognized for his loyalty. To me, any Nepali who seeks employment outside the Nepali territory is a Gurkha and this guy makes me feel proud to be called a Gurkha or a Nepali.
Another case of a butler with rare dedication to duty was portrayed in a movie called "The Remains of the Day" by Anthony Hopkins. The only difference between these two characters is that the movie one is fictional while this one is real.
